I’m a thirty something Mom, Wife, Crafter, and Optimist. By day I am an interior designer, that specializes in Kitchens and Baths. By night I am a chef (for my family), a bartender (at the milk bar for my son who has an open tab), and an entertainer for all involved. I’m fiercely loyal, until you do me wrong then I’m done. I try and do one thing nice for someone else every day, and believe that if everyone else did too the world would be a better place. I am not religious, but I believe in faith and morals, and some sort of higher power whether it be God, Buddha, Ganesh, or a giant spaghetti monster I can’t say. I believe in aliens, but don’t think they have abducted anyone or probed them in any way. I just think that the universe is way too big to not have other intelligent life out there. I do not ever push my beliefs on anyone else, and I don’t think anyone should. I love animals, although I think PETA takes it too far sometimes. I love to bake, but I don’t do it often. I watch entirely too much Food Network and HGTV. I paint only when the mood strikes, which is only like twice a year. I love pictures, but don’t take nearly enough. I love to sew, but only if I can finish the project in one sitting. I love tattoos; I have 12, and plan on more. I totally support breastfeeding, but I don’t look down on those who don’t, or cant. I love to read, but spend more time reading blogs than actual books. I am horrible at math and spelling, thank goodness for calculators and spell check. I’m a sucker for anything RED. I adore Coffee; it is the pretty much the only thing I drink besides water and iced tea. I’m a total Mama’s girl; I talk to my Mom more than anyone else. I hope to own my own business one day so I can stay at home with my son Osiris.
I married a great man on March 29th, 2008.. That’s us there in that picture that looks like a wedding photo, Probably because it is a wedding photo… Rich and I met in the most cliché way possible, in a bar. While I was... Wait for it… Singing Karaoke. That’s right folks; I took this horrible single range voice of mine out in public at one time. Apparently the song I was singing was the one song I can actually sing, Save Ferris’ I Don’t Want to Be Your Friend. We dated for three years before Rich asked me to marry him on May 28th at the WWII Memorial in DC at nearly midnight. Our wedding was simple and unique. We decorated with 1000, well 1020 paper cranes that Rich and I folded together in true Japaneese tradition.. Our wedding also took place at 9am with a breakfast reception, it's was awesome, no dancing, no drinking for people to make a fool of themselves with, and no cheesy DJ. Not to mention we were home by 2pm, and off to our honeymoon in Ocean City the next morning. When we got married it was instant family, as I became Stepmother to his two kids his son Marley and daughter Danielle. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. take me as I am or leave me be, I'm good either way.
